As a company within the Bertelsmann Group, beDirect has always been committed to its highest security standards. That is why security and data protection have been fundamental and extremely important to our work, not just since the European Union's basic data protection regulation came into force in May 2018, but from the very beginning. All our data is securely stored and protected.
The activities of beDirect have been duly reported to the data protection authority (LDI NRW), an external data protection officer has been appointed and also reported to the authority. beDirect is also audited annually by the Bertelsmann SE & Co KGaA Group Privacy Department and the DDV Deutscher Dialogmarketing Verband e. V. (German Dialog Marketing Association).

Duration of data storage
We store personal data for as long as they are required for the respective purpose, which is why we regularly check them.
If parts of your personal data are subject to statutory storage obligations, e.g. because they were the basis of orders and contracts, we will store this information until the end of the statutory period (257 HGB: 6 years or 147 AO: 10 years).
Entries in our internal blacklist as well as correspondence will be stored permanently so that we can ensure that your address is not passed on by beDirect.
